4 cup Makhana Phool makhana or fox nuts
Mint flavor
1 cup makhana
1 tablespoon ghee
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon dry mint powder
Peri Peri flavor
1 cup makhana
1 tablespoon ghee
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon peri peri powder
Chaat masala flavor
1 cup makhana
1 tablespoon ghee
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon Chaat masala
Cheese flavor
1 cup makhana
1 tablespoon ghee
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon cheese powder
Directions
- Place the makhanas in a pan over low heat.
- Dry roast until they just start to change color.
- To test if the makhanas are roasted, try pressing one between your thumb and finger. It should easily crumble.
- Switch off heat.
- Divide roasted makhana into four parts.
- Heat Ghee in a pan, add salt, black pepper and mint powder and coat well. Turn off the heat and let it cool. Store in an airtight container.
