Homemade Black Bean Crunch wrap Supreme

Better than Taco Bell! This bean Crunch wrap Supreme is homemade and one of the best you’ll make! stuffed with refried black beans, fresh Pico de Gallo, guacamole, lettuce, crunchy tortilla chips and the cheese sauce. Homemade crunch wrap supreme are super easy to make!

Ingredients

  • For the Wrap:

  • A large flour tortilla

  • A small flour tortilla (you can cut from a large one if needed)

  • Corn tostadas (you can fry a small corn tortilla yourself or just use a handful of tortilla chips)

  • For the Filling:

  • 2 cups cooked black beans

  • 1/4 cup taco sauce

  • ⅓ cup nacho cheese sauce

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • 1 cup shredded lettuce

  • 1/2 cup chopped tomatoes

  • 1/2 cup chopped onion

  • 1/4 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt

  • Additional toppings (optional): guacamole, chopped cilantro

Directions

  • Now assemble the crunch wraps. This is the fun part. Onto one large burrito shell add a big spoonful of black beans. Add some taco sauce and cheese sauce. Now add the crispy corn tostada. Spread guacamole.
  • Spread on some sour cream. Add on lettuce, onion and tomatoes. Pile on some cheese. (Just a handful will do.)
  • Now add another flour tortilla. Use a pair of kitchen shears to cut the burrito shell down to the same size as the corn tortilla or use smaller size tortilla. Fold the larger flour tortilla over the top.
  • Cook in a hot skillet with a tablespoon of olive oil. To keep the flour tortilla shell folded in on itself, place a small plate or clean pot on top as it cooks. . After about 2 minutes, flip the crunch wrap over and cook the other side. or you can make it in panini maker.

Notes

  • You can use canned black beans or cook your own dried beans.
  • Feel free to experiment with different bean varieties like pinto beans or kidney beans.
  • For extra protein, add cooked lentils or crumbled tofu to the bean mixture.
